Answer :

The detail from this myth could a poet use if he wanted to show that children often make their own decisions regardless of what their parents say is Option A. Daedalus tells Icarus to fly near him, but Icarus decides to fly higher.

What is context of the poem?

Auden centered his sonnet in the Icarus' tumble from the sky after his wings dissolved. W. H. Auden was noticed the paint named The scene with the Icarus' fall at Musee des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles.

In that painting is noticed a cultivator working, a shepherd with his sheep, a few boats and in the lower right corner, a couple of white legs moving inside the lake.

Everybody appears to keep into their exercises and perhaps they didn't see what occurred with the man inside the lake. Auden accepted that scene as motivation for expounding on the humankind's lack of concern at the torment.

Icarus didn't pay attention to his dad and flew higher, liquefying the wax from his wings and in the long run tumbling from the sky. This shows that kids settle on their own choices paying little heed to what their folks say.
